Proposal for L0 and L1
Some members of the Syndicate have recognized that the collection of each of the thirty subscriptions every eight weeks is quite an onerous task for many different reasons; people are without their cheque books, they do not have that much cash on them at that moment, or they are just not around when the collection is due. Quite often I have to pay many peoples subscriptions myself. It was kindly proposed by a member of the Syndicate, quite unsolicited I might add, that a sum of £1 was added to each persons subscription each eight weeks for my trouble and this idea seemed to have been well received by those members of the Syndicate whose opinions were sought.
The Rules of the JIP Lottery Syndicate L0 and L1
The two Syndicates combined buys thirty tickets in a block of eight weeks; an additional charge of £1 is made to JIP for his efforts in co-ordinating the Syndicate. Subscriptions must be paid to JIP on or before the date published.
All three and four number wins are accumulated and shared out during Christmas.
Wins resulting from Five numbers, Five numbers and the Bonus Ball or the Jackpot will be divided equally between all the members of the Syndicate.
JIP reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member of the Syndicate who persistently fails to meet the payment deadlines, as this places a financial strain on him. The exclusion of any member must be seconded by any five members (not including JIP's family) of the Syndicate. The person so excluded will be notified and will be excluded from any winnings that may have been accumulated. If a member is not up to date with payments, and the Syndicate has a win, that unpaid member may not be entitled to a share of the winnings.
The enlarged Syndicate means a considerable amount of work and to try to reduce the burden I will produce a list of dates when the subscriptions are due and it would be very helpful if members of the Syndicate could pay promptly without the need of a reminder.
